Save the Hospital

Save the Hospital is a dedicated committee of doctors and concerned citizens who want to prevent the closing of inpatient beds at Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.

Their vision is a hospital that would maintain inpatient services; upgrade the existing intensive care unit; continue both inpatient and same-day general surgery; restore inpatient dialysis and discontinued surgical specialties such as urology and eye, ear, nose and throat; continue providing orthopedic and gynecological care, breast reconstruction, breast reduction and plastic surgery; and maintain oncology and chemotherapy services, cardiovascular and pulmonary medicine and rehabilitation.
