Alice Perry Liptak Scholarship

Alice Perry Liptak graduated from Towson State College in 1965 with a degree in teaching and began her career at Lansdowne Elementary School teaching first grade.  Her teaching career spanned 39 years and included schools in Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties.  She taught grade school, science, math and the gifted and talented programs and teaching was her passion.

Perhaps one of the most poignant memorials written about her was by one of her students that stated “Mrs. Liptak was the only teacher that I was happy to get out of bed at 7:00 in the morning for because she made learning very special”.

We have set up the Alice Perry Liptak Scholarship Memorial Fund to assist Towson University students who have declared a major in teaching to continue their education and carry on the passion of teaching that was the hallmark of Alice.
