Adopt-A-Bear

Adopt-A-Bear provides Christmas gifts to children enrolled in QAC public elementary and middle school free lunch program, Judy Centers, and Head Start.

“Bear Trees” are displayed at businesses though out Queen Anne’s County with tags sharing a child’s first name, age, clothing sizes and special requests. Anonymous donors choose a tag from the tree and purchase new items for each child. In this manner, an “invisible pipeline” forms from businesses, through donors and volunteers, to the children, creating a truly magic experience for those who might otherwise not have the opportunity.

During Christmas 2014, 1094 QAC children were presented with gifts.
